Good Evening Wahoos!
This is a friendly reminder that our students have early dismissal tomorrow. Our students get out of school at 1pm, that is 2 hours earlier than normal. If your child rides a bus in the afternoon, please be at their bus stop 2 hours earlier than normal.
Also, next week we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, pledging to be drug free. We will have dress up days each week. Monday is hat day, Tuesday is Favorite Character day, Wednesday is School Spirit wear, Thursday is Western Wear, and Friday is wear red. A flyer showing these dates with more descriptions is available on our website and Facebook page.
Also, next Tuesday we are inviting our students to come trick or treat with us from 6-7pm. We will have some educational handouts as well for the students to work on at home. If you are able and willing to donate candy to your child's classroom, I am sure the teachers would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you again for your continued support! We hope everyone has a great evening.

Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in the Candy Man fundraiser. Order forms will not be accepted after 10:00 am tomorrow. You can still place orders online until 11:00 pm on Thursday.

Good Evening Wahoos!
This is a reminder that tomorrow is Unity Day and we ask that students and staff join together and wear the color orange to show that we are against bullying.
Also, parents please remember if you are checking your child out of school early, please park in the side parking lot by the buses to get your child. This year we have a double car line in the front of the school. Parents start the car line a little after 1pm. If you come to the front then there is a good chance you will get blocked in.
Thank you for your understanding and I hope everyone has a great evening!

Good Afternoon,
This is a reminder that our district is sponsoring a CTE Business and Industry Roundup this evening from 5pm-7pm at Nash Central High School. There will be many business and industry represented, so students can explore and discover career opportunities in the area. Also, there will be many food trucks at the Roundup serving a variety of foods. I hope to see everyone there!!
(Parents, I am always excited about getting out of cooking, so this is my way of being able to support the district and not cook dinner! Haha.)

This message informs you that Bus 365 and Bus 211 will not run for their PM route today. Please make arrangements to pick up your child from school. We apologize for the inconvenience and we hope you have a great day.

Good Evening,
If your child scored below grade level on the PSF skill on their mClass assessment, please take a look at this quick video to get some ideas of how you can help your child grow in this area before the next assessment. Thank you for continued help!

Good morning,
This message informs you that bus 140 will be late this morning, because of mechanical issues. At this time. I do not have a time frame as to when it will be on the road. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Good Evening Wahoos.
This is Mrs. Land, with some updates from Winstead Avenue.
Thank you to all of our Magnificent Moms who came out and ate breakfast at school this past Friday. We had a great turn out! If you were unable to attend, that is perfectly fine. We will have more opportunities for you to fellowship with your child or children in the near future.
Tomorrow, October 16th, is the last day for our CandyMan fundraiser. Remember, in order for your child to attend the main event, he or she will need to sell 10 or more items.
This Tuesday, at Nash Central High School our district’s CTE department is having a Business and Industry Roundup from 5-7pm where a lot of our local businesses will be showcasing what their job has to offer to our community. They are hoping to persuade some of our families to join their business. There will be food trucks and vendors on site. This event is for people of all ages. I will be taking my 3-year-old so that he can enjoy the fire trucks and the different vehicles they will have on display.
This Wednesday is Unity Day where we are asking everyone to wear orange. Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month in October that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
This Thursday is early release day. Our students will be getting out at 1pm. Please make sure if your child is a bus rider, someone is at their bus stop to pick them up .
hours earlier than normal.
Last but not least, not this coming up week, but the following week, October 23rd through the 27th is Red Ribbon week where we will be celebrating being drug free. I will be sending out a flyer this week showing the dress up days for these events. The dates are already posted on our school calendar if you want to take a glance.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Good Evening Wahoo Families!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the fall crisp air tonight! This is perfect camping weather. This is a reminder that we are celebrating our Hispanic Heritage families this week at WAVE by dressing up in different colors. You can find the colors listed on our website under "Live Feed" if you need to look back over it.
This Friday is our Magnificent Mom's breakfast. Just like with our dad's breakfast, mom's you can eat breakfast with your child or children starting at 7:20am in the multi-purpose room and then walk your child or children to class once you are finished. Again, we ask that you do not bring other children or family members to this event if possible. We want this to be a special time for our students.
We have one more week for our Candy Man fundraiser. The fundraiser will end next Monday the 16th. Thank you to everyone who has helped raise money so far to help support our students and staff.
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who came out to our curriculum night last week. The power went off before the event and stayed off for a while, however, we did not allow that to ruin our party. We carried on with the event. Please check out the video on our website showing you a more in depth look at our school's website. Our website contains all of our scheduled events from now until the end of June.
We hope everyone has a great evening and a fabulous week!
